I had the enormous opportunity to participate in the first collective contextualization in 2024, aimed at strengthening the accessibility and relevance of the course for Spanish-speaking communities through its translation and situated adaptation to the regional context.
Participating in the Catalyst project was very important for UNC Supercomputing. We learned how to navigate a funding and collaboration ecosystem that was new to us. We met others and made ourselves known; we valued and were valued within larger networks across Latin America and Africa. The plan to set up a local cloud for JupyterHub is a project that continues to progress and has great potential now and in the future.
Participating in Catalyst allowed us to test and determine the infrastructure needed for a sustainable ecosystem with trained local leaders. We confirmed that open access to this infrastructure is vital to drive local research and amplify regional scientific impact.
Grateful to be part of MetaDocencia as an External Collaborator on the Polen Project, contextualizing Open Science content for Latin America. A wonderful collaborative team!
Excellent workshop today — super clear, educational, practical, one good recommendation after another. It works on every level. Highly recommended, 100%. And free. Endless thanks for so much dedication, empathy, and commitment.
Just finished. Spectacular, extremely interesting and constructive. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and knowledge in something that is new for many of us and that requires creativity, humility, and generosity. All three were present throughout the workshop.
The course was excellent. You gave me back the drive to teach — online education can be far more human than I ever imagined.
With great joy, I just received the invitation to MetaDocencia's Intro to the ABCs of Online Teaching workshop. I can't wait for Friday! Thank you for what you do.

For the teachers in the room: take advantage of MetaDocencia's resources. It's one of those things you needed without even knowing it.
MetaDocencia was a great tool. Out of all the online courses I've been involved in as a teacher, the one that went best was the one where the three of us had done the workshop. We're not just saying that — look at the surveys.
My first semester was disorganized and very hard to handle. Thanks to MetaDocencia's help and The Carpentries teaching certification, I learned a lot of new methodologies and ways to connect with students on the other side of the screen.
I highly recommend MetaDocencia's courses for this and for modern, evidence-based pedagogy. It genuinely blew my mind.
I would like all my master teachers to implement your tips and tools.

Connected and happy at MetaDocencia's Intro Workshop. Grateful for this initiative. A tremendous contribution to education.
I just finished MetaDocencia's How to Teach Programming Online course. It's a must if you teach programming remotely. Knowing how to program is not the same as knowing how to teach it, and even with a lot of online teaching experience, I took away so much from this free, half-day workshop.
MetaDocencia's courses are great.
Full marks to MetaDocencia's workshops. Today, two outstanding instructors. Thanks to the whole team behind these activities and tutorials for putting them together and sharing them for free.
I took MetaDocencia's Introduction to the ABCs of Online Teaching course. A direct, clear, and friendly experience of how to teach by example. I recommend it 100%. Your classes will never be the same after attending this course.

We begin MetaDocencia's fifth year with more enthusiasm than ever. A space for collective learning, for playful commitment, for supporting science from a complementary angle. A gathering we build each week — and it's always open for you to join.

During my MetaDocencia onboarding, the importance of constructive feedback really stayed with me. The MEC is a survey that enables horizontal feedback. I think it's a practice that can be adapted and implemented in other contexts, organizations, and teams that want to strengthen well-being, transparency, integrity, and trust.
