MetaDocencia, six years in community. Thank you for walking this path with MetaDocencia!

We want to take this anniversary to thank the community that has been with us since 2020 and everyone who joined along the way. Over these six years, more than 90 team members and collaborators have worked alongside more than 30 communities, trained more than 1,600 people, connected more than 6,000, and published more than 200 resources on Zenodo. To everyone who is always by our side: thank you for being part of this shared effort and collective growth!

What’s Ahead

In the year to come we will keep expanding high-quality training, strengthening capacities in Open Science, and building lasting partnerships that support research communities. Our plans: Train Spanish-speaking people through our Formación en Ciencia Abierta and Formación para enseñar programs. Build and strengthen communities to improve access to research funding. Advance research infrastructure through rigorous research and open access to our results.

Introducing “Herramientas de Ciencia Abierta”

This year we are celebrating our anniversary with great news: we are launching Herramientas de Ciencia Abierta, a renewed Open Science training offering in Spanish. It is a free, online course in Spanish, designed to explore the principles of Open Science and move toward putting them into practice, with open, contextualized resources and a network for peer exchange. We share all the details about enrollment on Slack and our social media.

Online course - 4 weeks. Open Science Tools. A situated journey through its principles and practices.

Thank You!

Thank you to all the people and institutions that take part in, contribute to, and amplify this work. We continue building capacities, infrastructure, and community for a more open science. Join MetaDocencia, fund our initiatives, and help us expand the reach of open and collaborative science in Latin America.
